Alrighty, I have a few of these in the process of being completed, so bear with me as I keep adding to it. Hopefully that's okay.

As per the conversation in the thread over in GS: General Discussion on what the new cover art would look like, this is one of the first mock-ups for the new Godsmack CD that is currently in the works.

I've been dickering around most of today and because I'm so anal, it's taking a bit longer to get to something I feel good about posting. LOL But thanks for the idea!

I've been doing graphics for about 7 years now and I've used alot of programs, which I resort to if there's a certain look or feel I know I can achieve easily with one program. I currently use PSP 7, PSP X2 and Photoshop CS3. For my animated icons I use Animation Shop and ImageReady. It all depends on my mood. If I want to cheap out and just do a basic blend or get right in there with brushes and the sort.

What do you use?

Wow 7 years, I think I'm on my 2nd or 3rd. Maybe longer, I haven't kept track of it. But I started making sigs, really simple stuff. Check my albums out it's "The Old Stuff" album and you'll get a general idea of it. Then I started with animations (again there is another album for those) now I'm learning some more complex stuff.

I use PS CS3. What's PSP? I keep hearing about it but I thought it had to do something about the PSP (Playstation Portable) but what do I know? lol You know CS3 has the animation feature like in ImageReady? Could save you some cpu space? I like PS though, I think everything that i need is in there. So I should be good.

I like Ziyah's. The only thing I'd change is, integrate the star with the sun somehow. I'll do something to show you what I'm thinking.

Yeah, I've been dabbling pretty much my whole computer life. LOL But I don't punch out stuff as quickly as the younger kids do with all their celebrity crushes.

I checked your stuff out and I have to completely admit to squealing like a little rabid fangirl at your Tony Montana and the Boondock Saints sigs in the "old stuff". Big Boondock fan here and even bigger Pacino fan! Kick ass work on ALL of it!

Now that's sweet looking! Your first design kinda looked like a bandanna design, but since you added that space on the left side of the design with "Godsmack" in there it looks more like a CD cover. Nice add!

And thanks for checking my older stuff out. Most of it was sigs I did for members on the boards.

Thanks to both of you! Re-Aligned, I know what you mean. I look back at the original and see it was a little plain. The sun logo behind it added that little extra to it.

Now I must make some more...
