And finally, here is the story. So I show up with the quilt in Los Angeles. (Those who have helped me with this...you people f*cking rock! And I can't thank you enough!) I had asked for five minutes of time to present the quilt, and it was important to not be interrupted. Mainly because there was so much about the quilt, I really wanted to take some time to discuss it. Well, I got my five minutes. I was escorted to his bus, and he came outside. I was even more nervous because I really respect what little privacy these guys have, and would never think to lurk right outside the door of their buses. Anyways, I told him the number of hands involved in this gift, and I gave him the Godsmack onesie (which he said, "This is cool"), and then I presented the quilt to him. He was moved! He said, "I am so touched, thank you". We discussed the squares, and I even pointed out Tam's square telling him it came all the way from Holland (and that she was also an expectant mother). He tried to take it all in, and I knew he loved it from the look on his face. I asked him if we could take pictures while doing this, and he graciously agreed. Then when I was done, we parted and I went back to the line....we were going to be let in early (I bought the temptation package), and I had to hurry. Then I realized I did the blondest thing there was. I had put my envelope with my tickets and wristband in the forking bag that I had just given to Robbie!!!! DOH! So I ran all the way back around the venue, back to the buses, and knocked on the door. No answer! I started to panic! I made a few phone calls, and then I spotted a crew member. I begged and threw myself on the ground (kidding, but I was panicked), and he helped me. He retreived my tickets, and I had to run back to the front of the venue to get in line. In the end, the show kicked ass, and I will be posting my review in the concert tour section. Let me add, that I am amazed how people here can come together and be a part of this. I worked my ass off on this, and I dreaded making any mistakes. Thank you for having the patience with me and my lack of posting pictures earlier. I did everything I could to NOT get any animal hair on the quilt, and I swear to you, when I was outside the venue and looking down on the quilt in the bag....I saw hair!!!! LMAO
Might I add, that in his hands you can see all your notes, cards, and well wishes (in that envelope). Plus there was a cd included that went with the theme of the center square. Kat - can you remind me what it was....

Kat, once again today, I agree 100%!
Witchy you did an awesome job pulling this together! The quilt is awesome! I am happy to know that I was able to be a part of something so wonderful for someone we all adore. I hope Robbie and his family will treasure the quilt forever, which I do believe they will.
Also I am proud to be a part of such a wonderful family, The Smack Family!

Just goes to show that good things come when people with a like interest get together!
It turned out beautiful, and I am glad to have been a part of it!
Witchy, you certainly pulled it together, and got a wonderful memory to boot. Something you can proudly share with your grandkids someday. And I am sure Robbie will share it with Nianni when she is old enough!

I saw the pictures before in the pm, but I just wanted to say again, how thankful I am for all your hard work on this project. It looks absolutely amazing!!! I also read the story this time, about how you gave it to Robbie. I'm so glad he likes it!!!! And I'm pretty damn sure everybody else does too! (including his wife and Nianni ofcourse) And reading that you mentioned me....damn I love you girl!! Also nice to know that the guys know they have fans outside the US too! I'm also very glad to know that you got those 5 minutes with Robbie, so you could give it to him in person. You really deserved it! I was affraid that you would have to put it in the mail!! I also wanna say thanks. Thank you for letting me participate on this, even though I live pretty damn far away from you all. I always kinda feel like an outsider, I'm sorry, but you really made me feel as a part of the family. I love you guys crazy. Meeting all of you is still on top of my wishlist, but well,...maybe someday.
To everybody who worked on the squares: you people are amazing! I love all the squares, they're so beautiful!!! Great job everybody!!!
ps: LOOOOOOOOOOOVE the pictures!!!!!!!
