Nothing has been settled on as far as color. But, you're right. Maybe we stick to any color, and then I can look at the squares, and we can decide then. Just throwing ideas out there. As far as number of squares, if you think you can only do 1, no big deal. That is why we are doing this so early. That way, after the holidays, we can see how many we have. If more is needed, then we can ask for more.

*snorts* too funny!!! this reminds me of a south of the border sign that has a pic of a 3d sausage on it. it says; "you never sausage a place, you're always a weiner at pedro's!!" it's my favorite sob sign (and there are tons of them on I95).

naw, that's not what i was saying - i was saying our squares for nianni's quilt were smaller which is prolly why the extra quilting wasn't needed. some really like the larger squares for creative freedom.

quote: Originally posted by wolfquilter: DUH!!! OMG, Teach, I think my brain was on vacation, LOL I usually tie baby quilts. Here is what i am talking about- http://home.howstuffworks.com/tying-quilts.htmThe only ting I would do different than the pics in the link, is put the ties and knots on the back. I will have to make a tiny stitch in the center of each square. And if you guys glue anything, I will have to stitch it down, but I can use invisible thread. I like this idea!!! Especially if you'll use the invisable thread. And I also prefer the bigger squares myself.
Like I mentioned before, I like to make a cross-stitch pattern that I want to put on my square (one of them). Do I have to do anything special with it before I put it on my square? Iron it on the back I guess, but then? Do I have to wash it first?
As for the colors, I have to go with Kat: Use any color on the squares and see what we'll do with the backing and borders. It's gonna be difficult because we won't know what she'll like when she's older. And there is no way to find out unless someone knows how to travel through time....A girlish theme w/o going overboard sounds great to me.
I saw this online: girly, but not toooooo pink:
Here's a link to that website: http://www.fabricfindersinc.com/prints.shtml
maybe we can check it out for idea's???
