I sent one to the site a while back. I also sent a hand written letter over last summer. I was dating a soldier last summer and she made sure it got where it had to be.

That is a cool site. At our work, we had a guy who is in the Army Reserve get sent to Iraq. So we all "adopted" a troop from his unit and send them letters and care packages once or twice a month. All members of his unit are spoken for and the company helps out by paying for postage on one package per soldier(we usually send more than that though).
I wish I could speak for others that have come home from over seas, but I know they live for small things like that. My little sister had some classmates write letters to send to my brother's friend and other soldiers while in Iraq for a year. My dad sent care packages, and I made sure to keep in touch as well as let him see his little girls via our webcam. He missed them so much. Thank god he's finally home, but unfortunately we lost one.
