we are having a hard time deciding on a project for sully and jen's wedding gift. i'm totally into a beautiful, classic, traditional quilt that will be an heirloom passed down to skylar but some sistahs feel "been there, done that" or we should reserve quilts for the new baby smackers. i'm thinking those in favor of the quilt can move ahead w/it and those against it can come up w/their own idea which many of us doing the quilt will be happy to participate as well.

next order of business ~ a gift for tony who is notoriously difficult to do anything for. we're doing the cookbook but some sistahs want to do something else to go along w/it. maybe something w/a guitar strap. ant - this is where we could use your guidance since you play.

Hey I like the guitar strap idea! Depending on how many of us participate on that idea, I'm not too sure how we could pull it off. A thought I had would be to make one long guitar strap, but it would be so cool for Tony to actually use a strap that's long enough to use/wear someday if he wanted to.

i'm dropping the cookbook for sully and jen so it will be something unique for tony. witchy agrees as well. and i think i've dropped too many projects on ya'll all at once.

you're welcome to do this ant. i don't know how it would work w/a group of people working on it but if you'd like to do this, go for it!! tony doesn't get nearly enough love cuz we don't really know his likes and dislikes.

i see many are against the wedding quilt project but i don't see but a few coming up w/other ideas here. i personally don't see how a wedding quilt diminishes the importance of our baby quilts as it's rare anyone other than new smack babies get quilts. i think it makes it even more special.
that's just MY opinion.

I love the idea of a wedding quilt. It certainly can be something that they save and give to Skylar when she grows up and gets married.

It can be an heirloom where the other ideas won't make it. IMO.
