So I just saw the commercial on FUSE TV for the Crue Fest 2 announcement. It will be on FUSE TV at 9 PM, followed by a bunch of Motley Crue music videos. Obviously it's not going to be live, but should be interesting.

I sware... I just bought my tickets. (Apparently they went on sale to the public today for every show on the tour) and if the smack is not mentioned in this press conference, I'll be steaming.

But after reading all these sites and rumors about the line-up, I think I'll be golden.

CRUE FEST 2 LINE UP ANNOUNCED TODAY
Ambulance Delivers Motley Crue To Press Conference At The Fuse TV Studio In Dr. Feelgood Style

Crue Fest 2 Starring: Motley Crue with Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman, Drowning Pool And Introducing Charm City Devils.

New York, NY (March 16, 2009) – Mötley Crüe announced the line up today for their second annual Summer Festival tour, Crüe Fest 2 at the Fuse TV studio in New York City. The follow-up to the most successful Rock Festival of last summer stars Mötley Crüe with Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman, Drowning Pool and introduces Charm City Devils.

In addition to announcing the line up, the Crüe debuted a new music video featuring members of all five Crüe Fest 2 bands performing the single “White Trash Circus” During the announcement Mötley Crüe was joined on stage by Sully Erna of Godsmack, Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman, Ryan McCombs of Drowning Pool and John Allen of Charm City Devils. The single of this track featuring Mötley Crüe with these vocalists is available to radio today.

Crüe Fest 2, produced by Live Nation and kicking off on July 19th in Camden, NJ tours across North America and concludes on September 5th in Darien Lake, NY. Select dates go on sale to the public on March 20th, the remainder go on sale the 21st, check www.CrueFest2.com and www.Motley.com for exact on-sale information and for tickets. Tickets are also available at http://www.livenation.com. Additional details can be found by calling 818.748.9075. Citi® cardmembers have access to presale tickets beginning March 17 at 10am local time through Citi's Private Pass® Program. For complete presale details visit: www.citiprivatepass.com.

Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx says, ”This is what we imagined when we came up with the idea of Crüe Fest last summer – putting together the most kick ass bands on one bill for a day of rock. All of the bands on this tour compliment the others -- musically, theatrically and passionately.”

Theory of A Deadman’s Tyler Connolly states, “This Saints of Los Angeles tour with Mötley Crüe has been, so far, the greatest rock experience for Theory of a Deadman, and I can happily say that they have been nothing but amazing to us. We so look forward to Crüe Fest 2 this summer and are honoured to be a part of the best f#@%in’ tour this summer. Period!”

Ryan McCombs from Drowning Pool notes, “Drowning Pool has been touring straight through for the past two years and we are psyched to bring a kick ass show to these crowds on the ultimate rock festival.”

Charm City Devils’ John Allen says, “We are so lucky that Nikki Sixx has taken Charm City Devils under his wicked yet brilliant wing and is allowing us to share the same stage with this incredible bill just as our record, Let’s Rock –n- Roll is hitting on Eleven Seven Music.”

To kick off the press conference, Mötley Crüe stopped lunch hour traffic in New York City arriving at Fuse in a Dr. Feelgood era ambulance accompanied by scantily clad nurses. As previously announced, the band is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their first #1 album by playing Dr. Feelgood from beginning to end every night of Crüe Fest 2. In addition, fans can expect Mötley Crüe to bring out hits from their entire catalog through their latest hit, Saints of Los Angeles.

Fans nationwide were invited to celebrate the line-up announcement with launch parties at local venues airing the press conference and in-theater special screenings of Crüe Fest 1. Crüe Fest 1 will also be available on DVD starting March 24th which will include bonus material and artist commentary. More on the screenings can be found at www.cruefestthemovie.com.

Fuse is gearing up for a full-hour of programming dedicated to Crüe Fest 2 starting Monday, March 16 at 9:00pm ET/PT with a special edition of “Loaded: Crüe Fest,” featuring exclusive press conference coverage and a block of videos from the Festival’s artists as well as “Loaded: Mötley Crüe,” filled with a selection of videos that have made the Crüe rock legends. Also, don’t miss an inside look at the brand new DVD of “Crüe Fest 1” featuring performances from Mötley Crüe, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx:A.M. And Trapt. “Crüe Fest 1” premieres Thursday, March 19 at 10pm ET/PT on Fuse TV.

Fans can see a special live, network premiere performance of the Crüe and the Crüe Fest 2 lead vocalists performing “White Trash Circus” on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Friday, March 20th on ABC TV at 12:05 am/11:05c.

I was disappointed too, but I'm sure there was a reason he didn't join the group. I don't think it was a ploy to get us Smackers to watch Kimmel...things happen.

I was a little put off by that as well. I wanted to see them all together performing like they are in the video, and that is how I understood it when reading the update...

I haven't watched the show, but did read it on myspace about just Tyler performing the song with them. Frowner

Oh well, I am betting those of us that make it to the concert will get to see it live! And that will be awesome!
