Hello Godsmack community. I have been reading this forum for a couple a weeks now and find it one of the best that I encountered on the web. Before this day I only did the reading but today I decided to make my first post because I stumbled on the most horrible, pathetic and insulting anti-Wicca video I have seen on the net. I understand that this will offend most of the visitors of this board (not only Wiccans, that is) and that fundamentalists insulting Wiccans is a very old and beaten topic, but I simply could not sit there without sharing this with anyone.

I am deeply sorry for starting this thread, pointing to this piece of propaganda and making this my first post. Sometimes I am just brought on the edge and it hurts my heart (literally). It hurts me to see there are people in this world ignorant enough and having the nerve to hate, offense, misinform and point at people not of their religion. I mean:

1) This guy uses the most ridiculous and old myths and pieces of anti-Pagan propaganda known to MAN (this movie was added about a month ago).

2) He quotes "testimonies" of "former witches" that are stating the same myths.

3) He took all that info from perhaps the most fundamental and anti-Pagan website on the net.

4) He actually made SIX movies of the same SERIES. And all his other videos are pro-Fundamentalist as well.

5) He repeats that Jesus Christ is the ONLY true way, and tries to convert those that are watching the video, thus insulting EVERY other religion there is.

6) He never shows his face. (Though that can be just because he doesn't have a webcam, so I wouldn't really say that he is afraid to).

But what makes me happy is the low rating of the video and the 1/10 ratio of anti-/pro-Wiccan videos. It's good to see that tolerance is spreading faster than hate.

I am once again sorry for opening this old wound, but some people should really stop, and rethink what they
are saying. Where they head off next isn't of my concern - I'll simply keep away from them if they don't turn.

Welcome, SinWing. So did you report the hater to YouTube? That video falls under the "libelous" category and is in violation of their terms of use, so they might (or might not) do something about it.

I guess youtube was created to give every ****stick, jackass, and ****waffle in the world a voice. Damn the internet. What a *****, hiding behind the anonymity of the internet and no cam. I'd F this dude up if I met him in real life.

It's so sad. I expected to be enraged, but instead I feel pity for this "Karen".

You have to wonder if she really did hear voices in her twisted brain, or if she merely wrote this to gain attension.

Poor soul. I hope she is fulfilled in her new life, if she was indeed a real person.

Concerning the topic on hand, I must note that after a bit more of a research, I can state that the movie I posted is perhaps a harmless one. This gut uses the lies of others, while there are people who make up this propaganda. Just look on YouTube: search "Wicca" and sort by rating. The very first video is an old talk show which made me throw up. I am not posting the link here because that is simply WRONG. Let's just note that they talk with a "witch". My first glance - set up, and a very stupid one. The guy's commentary is so insulting it made me laugh. And throw up - not literally, but it did.

I am once again sorry for starting this whole topic, but it is a persistant fact, and I don't like that truth. But it is so. I really hope to finish this topic off. It's not pleasant for me to research mischief and hate on the Internet, but knowing what the lies are helps understand the truth. I also wish that my future postings on this forum won't be on any of these topics.

On the other hand, it's a good start for a podcast or a live journal.

I'm thinkin about putting some more stuff on my podcast...this might be an idea.

I run a Magick Shoppe. I see haters all the time. The funny thing is, they always seem to be the ones who exhaust all other options then end up having to come back for help later on.

I have seen some really funny ****... from people telling me Feng Shui is evil to Satanists who say they can't cross my salted doorway because it burns~! hahahaha

My eyes have been opened to so many things since I have been here. In the few months since we have opened I have seen things that would astound a Priest!

All you can do with the kind of people like the one you linked us to is feel pity for them because their eyes and hearts are so closed they can't save themself.

Mostly, their disbelief and hatred shows they have no faith in their own god.
