I don't understand it, they worship the same god, yet they go to differnt churches and dis each other. I thought noone was really capable of judging someone except God. Most people (not all) who go to church think their the perfect saint. Some of my family are Baptist and Methodist and think that Christians are a cult (what the hell?). I don't go to church, does that mean I'm going to hell. I believe in God and everything but am not a really religious person. I'm probably more of a saint or just as much of a saint than any one who goes to church (sorry if I offend anybody). I don't want to sound like I hate religion, but dang, aren't these people supposed to be peaceful?

Some of these people really tick me off when they say to other people that their religion is stupid and fake, that's not respecting their religion. I respect a person enough, even when it comes to something like this. I don't care what you are, your religion is your business, I won't judge you. But I quess everybody is criticall these days, I shouldn't pick on religion. Someone help me out.

I already know who I am, but do you know who you are.

If these people are really religious they would follow this.

"Stop judging, so that you shall not be judged, 2for with what judgment you judge, you will be judged, and with what measure you* measure, it will be measured to you. 3But why do you look at the speck, the [one] in your brother's eye, but you do not notice the log, the [one] in your own eye? 4Or, how will you say to your brother, ‘Allow [me], I shall take the speck from your eye,' and look!, the log [is] in your own eye? 5Hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye" (Matthew 7:1-5)

First, not everyone knows that book.

I get what you are saying crazyrs....but what is lacking here, is that some of those religions believe that their way IS THE ONLY WAY. That is how they interpret it out of that book. Not every "religion" has religious tolerance built in to their "laws".

My advice.....lead by example.

I just can't understand why these people think their religion is the only way, what other people do is none of their business. If they think that somebody has a crazy drug/sex all the time lifestyle they ignor them most of the time. They try to change people who don't need changing. And I know that everyone doesn't know that book, I don't read the Bible, I've never read it. I found that on the internet and it made sense to me. If I had Michael was here he would nail it right on, crazy Buddist (sp?)

Not only have I read the book, but I also own it. I also own many other great pieces of literature that lead to enlightenment and also allow me to understand what others believe.

Like you, I am very firm in my spiritual foundation and my faith cannot be shaken. But more of a point, when others like to complain about how people attack others, or worse, are the ones doing the attacking....It comforts me to know that not only do I NOT hold it against them, but having the knowledge in what they believe gives me the ammo I need to let them know that not only do I love and accept them just the way they are, but can also remind them gently (LOL) how they are acting like an ass. Like I said, lead by example. You will come out on top shining, and maybe (just maybe) planted a seed in their head so the next person they come in contact with, they won't be so judgemental.

I know I'm judgemental, I'm not afraid to admit that, and me going on and on about this just makes me as bad as the next person. Nothing ever amounts to what "I" hoped it to be (I know this really applies to nobody but me). I know I sound like a cry-baby, but I've been to churches where people are constantly talking about other people behind their backs, and when their talking to them face to face, their character changes to this nice joyful person. There are some really good people out there, and I thank God I know them well or are friends with them, these people would never hurt/or say anything bad about anybody, and I'd hate to see them be brought down. If I have offended you in anyway I'm really sorry, but it just doesn't seem right.

LOLOLOL You are cute CrazyRS. I wasn't pointing out YOUR behavior. I was showing you what I meant by leading by example. It is so easy for us to complain and biatch and moan, yet harder to hand out a compliment. Don't get me wrong here, not everything is lovely and fluffy. Real life can be difficult yet truly wonderful. To see a glimmer of hope in a dying woman, and that hope is because of her faith....that is a gift! All we can do it lead by example, and love our fellow man. I try to do this despite how I loathe my fellow humans. LOL We all need to vent, and I *think* this is what you were doing. But sadly, I have learned to trial and error that we must pick our battles wisely little grasshopper. And in my opinion....these sorts are worth my fight. Big Grin

I also have issues with my own typos. LOLOLOLOL
