Man I tell ya, it would take books for me to talk about my thoughts on life. But hey, since you only live 30 miles away from me (I am in Ames at the moment) maybe we could get together some time and talk life/philosophy/religion/world (since in my opinion they are all the same thing anyway).

I don't think life is "about" anything that isn't on an individual basis. The concept of a higher purpose is bunk. We are a happy accident on a tiny grain of dust in the incomprehensibly massive universe, scratching our asses and trying to convince ourselves that in the grand scheme of things, something in the universe will take notice of our actions. Here's the deal. I'm not easy to get along with....and I'm sensing....that you're a bit of a bitch. - Tallahassee

Now before I get into the religious aspects of things, I will say that I have my own beliefs just like everyone else in this world. But sometimes I think we are all here as a test from God. Testing our actions, our paths and well just everything in general. Like he's just sitting back drinking booze out of a coconut (yes that was a Supernatural quote), watching us with a little notepad tallying off each and every one of us in different categories. Ok I think I need some sleep. lol

Meaningless is not a bad word, whether one got brains or not. If everything was meaningful and on purpose, it would be truly an uncomfortable world to live in. quote: I find it quite amusing when "evangelical" types ask me how I don't see it as a depressing worldview.

It' an unnecessary tautology.

IMO, I think life is about connections. Love, family, friendship, the smile and hug of a child. But on the flip side, life also has a very dark side. A constant battle. I just try to throw out to the world as much good as I can. My words are tainted tonight. Just read about the little girl found in the landfill. Makes me really hope there is a special hell for people who would do that to children. Deborah

Life is perception, which is the only truth you're really going to find. It doesn't matter what it is, so long as you believe it to be true. There is so much truth in the world that people will be constantly battling each other to earn the right to "define" the truth. Me? I just live. I will die. Hopefully, in the time between, I will know happiness. Will I craft some purpose for myself? Maybe. But that will be my purpose for me, and no one else can give that to me or take it from me. Can anyone tell me I'm going about it wrong? Hell to the no. And can anyone say that whatever purpose I conjure up for myself is wrong? Again, flat-out f*ck no. But most of all, can I ever tell anyone else that my truth supersedes theirs? Of course not. I will wander, passing by people in their own little universe, occasionally nod and make a connection, even for a moment, because that's all we have: moments, infintisimally small specs of time that soon disappear like tears in rain.
