Just a few days ago, I saw a guy who had a sticker on the back of his truck saying- "All you need to know about Muslims happened on 9/11." MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORISTS!!! I am not going to grow up to become someone with bombs strapped to my belt in an airport! In fact, the closest thing to a bomb I've seen in real life is a water balloon!
Sorry, it just makes me mad when I see things like this, and I kinda just need to let out my feelings.
Pay no mind to people like that. They're just closed-minded ignornant idiots who don't want to even try to understand the truth behind such religions. It's like the people in my corridor at university hating me because I mentioned that I've read the Satanic Bible. They assume that Satanism is all about sacraficing goats and eating babies. And although I explained to them that 2 of the rules of Satanism are 'do not harm little children' and 'do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for food' they still believe what they want to believe about it.
Note: I didn't just randomly say I read the Satanic Bible, I said it because they saw someone else reading it and were saying that he was a devil worshipper. I wanted to clear up the misconceptions they had. Unfortunately, it backfired on me.

I don't blame you for being upset. I can't imagine how that makes you feel. I am dealing with some prejudice issues right now and its frustrating. Of coarse it doesn't compare to your being upset about this. My point is its everywhere, and most every nationality.

I understand your frustration. My father was born in Cairo Egypt...although ya wouldnt know it to look at me...red hair and freckles. The town i live in is very small and I don't go around broadcasting that I'm half Middle Eastern. I'm not ashamed of my heritage just dont want anything to happen to my kids, my house, my dog etc. People just don't understand. Its sad really.

This also falls on the government as their fault to a degree.
I will give Bush credit. he went on TV and said we should lash out in anger at all Muslims. However him and others also said the terrorists could be our neighbor and we'd have know idea. That can kind of put some people on edge.
