Since our ancestors are a large part in spirituality I am trying to find my roots and I have a slight problem .I know that I have a large portion of Irish blood iin my veins but I can't find the clan or clans I am decended from. I am decended from the following families: Graily, Stover and Hobbs. If anyone has any suggestions or know anything please tell me, it would be a great help.
Thanks Love and Hope to all ~Roibeard
You laugh at me because you fear what I am. You see that I am a link between the old and new, carrying the spirit of inspiration with me. That's okay though because I don't resent you. I wil always embrace you as family no matter what scorn I might recieve for I am the Bard.

Maybe tribe is the right term than. I always called them and heard them refered to as clans though. Hey a man learns something new everyday if I am wrong about it.

You should start by asking everyone in your family that you can. There are so many relatives that you don't know about. Our families are so big now, there are hundreds now that came from two people only a hundred and thrirty years ago. You may find everything you need just making a family tree, and asking questions.

The Irish DO have clans, it's just that the Scottish make a bigger deal about it by each clan having a different tartan. The Hobbs family is part of the McGee clan. Not sure about Graily or Stover. Although Stover is of Danish origin and a name given for the swiftness or love of hunting. Not sure whether that helps or not.
