I'm saying goodbye to some people I've worked with for 2.5 years. This layoff sends them away, and in a way I feel guilty for still being employed. Even though I'll be in the same situation in a few months. Who knows.

I just don't know anymore.

No matter what the situation, it's hard to part with some co-workers. We always have the best of intentions and talk about how we'll keep in touch; sadly, many times we don't follow through.

I know it's easier said than done, but don't feel guilty about still having your job. That's just how it works out sometimes. We're going through some layoffs here, and I know some people will be bitter, and others will feel guilty. But try to remember, these are our jobs, not our lives! (OK, I should really listen to myself on that one!)
