i had to rush my cat to the hospital today for a bad bite wound from another cat. he has to stay overnight for observation and may need surgery. could you guys send him some healing energy for me? he could use it. we just moved and he has been stressed and now this, i feel so bad for him. i am sure he will be fine but it is a nasty wound. thanks!

aww thanks so much guys! this is why i love this place! anyhoo, i picked oliver (my cat) up from the hospital on sunday morning. he is doing much better. alhtough he doesnt want his meds but i cant blame him. i wouldnt want people shooting stuff down my mouth either lol. the wound looks a bit better today so i dont think surgery is in his future thank god! i just dont know what to do with the cats. i know they will fight for awhile, but i dont want any of them in the hospital. so if anyone has any ideas for me to get them to come together i would appreciate it. keep the vibes coming because i am sure they are helping him and me as well. i love my smack family! *hugs everyone* you guys rock!

have you considered crating them and letting them get used to each other? you could crate one and let the other check him out or you could crate both but separately and facing each other until they get used to the idea of coexisting in the same house. i don't know if it works the same with cats but spaying and neutering my dogs makes a big difference in how well they get along, not to mention it's just the right thing to do with the overpopulation issue. it's not moral to keep intact pets.

My two cats I had for 4 1/2 yrs now there are from the same litter and we rescued them they had fleas(BAD) , earmites, worms, ticks, and the black one (Smokie) eyes were like glued shut and he was walking crooked, the grey and white one (Stonie) was starving you could see his little ribs. Well we rescued them and after a month or two they looked great. I really thought Smokie was going to die. About a 2 years ago we moved and they were acting very skittish and hiding and did not want to be bothered and they starting fighting really bad with each other and Stonie would have bald spots. I called the vet to see what I should do and she told me it's normal to get 2 cat carriers and put both of them in them (one in each , of course) and put the cage part in front of one another and they would have a face off till they realize their not enemies. I tried it and then turned them loose and the would continue to fight a little less though. I finally just said whatever and let them fight I fu=igured it would get old and they would stop. They did and now they are back to normal no growling, hissing or whacking each other no more. I know this is a long story but, I just wanted ya to see it will happen and there is limited things to do. I love my cat's they are my sons and I would do anything for them.
