I couldn't even finish reading it. I can't stand people who are so ignorant and closed minded, but sometimes it seems like 99% of people I know are like that. Personally I think the concept of a witch school is quite intrieging.

But it is sometimes used for this very purpose by those who don't know any bette or simply don't care. And if you think of it, when Silver RavenWolf gives advise on how to snoop on ex-s or tie up two individuals just because someone thinks they should be together, what is it if not controlling and manipulating? How do you expect a general public to figure out what is waht when no one can give a definite answer, at best citing the Rede that can be taken a number of different ways?

I don't know all that much about Wicca (but I am learning) but this kind of stuff makes me sick! I am a recovering Catholic(couldn't stand the guilt) and I was brought up to be tolerant of others beliefs and not to condemn them just because I don't understand. The first amendment says we, as Americans, have the freedom of religion. As far as we have come as a nation, as a people some are still in the middle ages when crusades and persecution were the act of the day.

Isn't there something in the so called Christian religion about not judging? Its a modern day witch hunt. The Pagan religion is older then Christianity.

Right, but what is practiced nowadays got nothing to do with that old Paganism except for shooting off of the same roots. And it's not about who is older or who is so called, it's about paranoidal, irrational mindset where diffrent == dangerous and the only way to co-exist is to try and convert. Blech.

I can't say that this surprises me. Well, maybe just a little- that people would be so BLATANTLY bigoted. But that's certainly the way it can be in the good ol' Heartland. It's not any different in Nebraska.
