I am new to this but not to Godsmack.
Can anyone tell me what GODSMACK means??
My husband hates the name and thinks I am possessed for listening and loving the music. I have every song ever made and love it all.

Where did the name Godsmack come from?

We are Christians and he thought it was some slang term against God. What an idiot he is!! I really didn't care what it meant. I love them and will always be a huge fan. They write songs that I relate to 100 percent.

Interesting how people never assume that it's God smacking somebody, isn't it?

Being a Christian myself, I've learned alot from others on this board. I've learned more about religions and the beliefs of others and have grown as a person because of it.

There are many different reasons why I like Godsmack, most importantly their music. But,,one of the things I like is the band members. I've been a fan since their first CD, but when I saw them in concert years ago I became really hooked. I researched the band more and the more I found, the more I liked them. The main thing that got me is Sully's Wiccan faith teaches to respect all forms of religion, and he does not condemn other faiths when he talks about his. Nor does the band try to preach to you about their faiths or social views. They just play music, as I believe it should be.
