Actually, the whol epage is damn good if you have time to read.
OffTopic: Heh I love Talkorigins, that website is an excellent antidote to the deluge of stupidity that will often pour from a creationist's mouth.

See, the texts from which the Bible originated were written in times when obsession with being in control of absolutely everything haven't kicked in yet. Local, partial was perfectly sufficient back then. The rest was probably overlooked during compilation.
Well that sure does explain a lot.

Well learned a lot and will keep my mouth shut and just lurk around it for while.
We are all taught to fear death, yet death is not the taker of life, just the receiver. The ticking of the clock draws us near. Time is death, and it shall take.

Well.... TC... first, they should give a good reason why they dont believe in God. This universe is full of paradoxes. Why? Because it was created by a mastermind... a mind that created the human mind..... i.e God.

I believe it is somewhere in the Hebrews chapter about the Universe being created by the word of God, or God upholding the Universe by his power, or something like that. In other parts of the Bible, it's usually heaven and earth. And the possibility to leave the presence of God, like it happened to Cain. Now, if you leave the presence of God, clearly you go to some other place not created by him? Then who created THAT place?

As a former Atheist and now a Pagan, I can tell you that complexity of the Universe is one thing, and being created by a mastermind is something else entirely. The two are not connected for me at all. Why? Because the whole idea of keeping everything under control, engineering everything, having a plan for everybody makes no sense to me. I can't believe in something that makes no sense.

A good reason: Why do I have to be a conformist? I don't believe that one dude could create EVOLUTION and everything else. *Pokes computer* And gave us brains to make this!

Then where did it come from?
This debate will continue for an eternity, as i've alread stated that... Mankind is too feeble to fully understand this universe. He can't compare to God.

Well, God wouldn't change his rules just because they dont make sense to you.
And these paradoxes are only what they are for us humans. We are too blind to see it through. There is no such thing as "paradox" for God.
