Greetings everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know that Kayla and I are getting marreid on July Ninth and wanted to tell everyone on here that they are invited if they want to, are near the area and have the means to get there.

Kayla and I are to be wed at six in the evening on July Ninth in a enclosure of trees not far from the number three shelter that has been reserved for the use of such wedding and small reception following it.

The wedding ceremony will be a Druid wedding ceremony mixed with a large amount of Wiccan Handfasting elements due to the priestess Lady Bridwen is a Wiccan and is willing to proform the Druid/Wiccan mixed ceremony since a lot of key elements are found in both wedding ceremonies.

In either event Kayla and I hope to meet any of the people who can make it. If no one shows up at all from the fourms thats all right for we both understand that its probably too far away, too short of a notice and whatnot.

May the light of Lugh and warmth of Brighid bless each and everyone of you with awen and may you all find perfect peace!

~Amargein

You laugh at me because you fear what I am. You see that I am a link between the old and new, carrying the spirit of inspiration with me. That's okay though because I don't resent you. I wil always embrace you as family no matter what scorn I might recieve for I am the Bard.

Contratulations, I'm glad you've been able to set a date for one of your weddings. I hope all goes well. Wish I could make it, but between living in England and work placements I have to do for college, it's impossible.

Congrats once again, I wish you many good wishes for your future together.

Geez, some people will say ANYTHING to get out of buying a wedding gift! Wink (-just kidding, just kidding!)

Belated congratulations on the "nups"! Hope all went well!

Applause

Sorry I haven't posted on here at all for a long time. A lot has been going on and I've been very busy getting paperwork together to send to get my stuff approved to aquire Canadian permant residence.

Anways I guess some people would like to know how it went. Well it all truth everything that could go wrong did. First off we had a Court House ceremony done at four fourty five that day (the Druidic ceremony is legal but I have a very intolerant family who refuses anything not Christan and want to be a part of the celebration so to keep peace while i stay with them until December we also had a little legal function so they could be happy) and it went okay.

First off my family is now split into two. Those who either agree with Kayla and I getting married or just don't really care either way. (there are some who don't agree but care enough to be polite and able to sallow their pride for us) and those who completely disagree and tried to hinder the ceremonies. My uncle Ray is so against it that he tried all he could to make sure that the wedding would fail.

Next off it stormed so bad that day that it flooded serval parts of West Virginia (that is where I am located and where the weddings were at) and I had forgotten to get my father in law directions to the state park and we were thirty minutes late. After that only eight out of the thirtyfive friends were invited. Most couldn't make it due to weather. My best friend and right hand man couldn't make it which really sucked (although probably a good thing since he and my wife kinda hate each other) Some people couldn't make it because they came early, or late and/or did not follow the directions to locate the area where it would be held. The worst thing that happened though is I lost one of my best friends for fifteen years because of this ceremony. She is a Christian and knew that I was not. I somewhat told her what I was but alas there was never a time to explain everything and she claimed to be openminded but I guess she lied. She won't speak to me and ignores me. (which is hard to deal with cause she lives down the street and I almost run into on a day to day basis)

However in the end all turned out very well. The eight people who showed up were some of my best friends who have helped me deal with this trial of past year (don't know what I mean just ask and I'll explain) and four of them were needed to bless and call in the directions. The preistess Lady Bridwen sensed that we would be late and stayed to finish prepration and when we got there at six thirty to begin the storm had stopped completely save a couple of gentle raindrops. (The storm is was a good thing though. First off I prayed and casted a spell days before that those who could not make it or those who really didn't want to be there would be held back and my personal element is water and Kayla's is wind and we find union in nature and in ourselves when we see a storm) The ceremony went with no hitch in the actual doing and we were married by seven in the evening.

I wore a pair of brown leather boots, jeans, a tie dyed shirt and my bardic cloak which is a light blue cotton with a nice hood with celtic knots on it( for those of you who don't know me in real life or who have never sen me before I look pretty wild. I am six foot five with the bulk of a rock. I have long curly hair that is lighter brown near the tips and darker brown at roots. I have gray blue eyes that change colors on my mood and in such times of happy they are a deep sapphire blue. I also have a beard that is light brown and red in color. More or less I look a lot like Hagrid from Harry Potter and my nickname from everyone in real life is Hagrid). My wife to be wore a dazzling blue dress with celtic design on it. We met together before the priestess hand in hand and felt the magick all around. you could tell that the spirits were all around.

We were very happy to be married as Mr and Mrs Robert and Michaela Fitzpatrick. Kayla had to head back home a couple of days later though which kind of sucks but we are very happy at least we are husband and wife.

We are having another wedding next summer the same day but it will be a Catholic ceremony since my wife is catholic and since we both love and honor each other we decided long ago we would have two ceremonies one for each of our beliefs as a perfect union between souls and beliefs.

Its okay that no one from the boards showed up. I didn't really think anyone could but I wanted to extend offer to anyone who could have. We know (Kayla included) that we have a good family amongst the members of the smack family.

Congratulations on your wedding. As far as family and friends go, I'm sorry that there were some problems, but I have found that these things have a way of working themselves out over time. Hopefully by next summer they will. Over time they will see the truth.
