Hello everyone again! It's been ages since I've been on these boards and I'm happy to be back on. I currently do not have a computer so the only online source I have is visits to the library when my scedule will allow it so I miss you guys!
Recently I've gone through ALOT of life changes and have embraced the Wiccan religion. I have been reading into and researching it alot and I'm very interested in it. I find the idea of personal change and bettering yourself to be wonderful, it's exactly what I'm looking for. I've actually never felt better about myself and I've only just started learning about this new found religion.
I am wanting nothing more than to look into it more, and I'm wondering how it is that people who practice Wiccan meet up. I've heard of meetings and things of this sort but it's a bit different that churh I suppose. I believe I'm right in guessing that there isn't a certain date or place or time of the week that meetings are held, but please correct me if I'm wrong because I want to know. I would like to find a place to meet but I don't know where to begin or to look. Could anyone here help me with this? Oh and thank you all for being so wonderful, I've never met a more wonderful group of people.
I find my shade by the moonlight, why my thoughts aren't so clear.
If you haven't already, check out the first thread in this forum...Snipe has a Wicca FAQ thread and she gives various links to websites for more information.

www.witchvox.com Find your state on the drop-down list on the left of the page and you can find all the pagans/wiccans and groups near to where you are. Get into contact with someone and ask if you can go along to an open circle or something. Good luck!

Unitarian churches are a great place to meet other Wiccans and those following alternate paths. Maybe you have one in your area? There is a group called CUPS that you could look into, at least I believe that's what it is called.

If you have a metaphysical/pagan store nearby, ask there. Ours always knows what kinds of Pagan groups are gathering where and when, and often the store itself host such gatherings.

A lot of good suggestions so far... CUUPS (if your local UU has a charter), local pagan store and witchvox are good starts... also search Yahoo groups and myspace. meetups.com used to be a good place to search until they started charging for it. You can always just google for groups as well... (i.e. "Phoenix pagan group"). Also, depending on where you are, there is a Wiccan church... Covenant of the Goddess. Their website is here: http://www.cog.org/
