If anyone who is good at dream interpertation has time to read, and sort this out, I would be grateful since my own abilities at this aren't sharp.
The dream starts at the embankment of a river. I am naked, and kayla is beside me. She is naked too, and I rise to my feet. I believe it is nidnight for it is pitch black all around me. I smell smoke, and I see a fire faint in the distance. I sigh, and feel inspired for a strange reason. I look a head towards the river, and in the center of the river in front of me lies three great trees that reach towards the sky. The one to the left is hazel, the one to the right is blackthorn, and the largest in the center is oak.
Brushing my long curly hair back, I look to the left, and to the right of me. I know I am seeing with my mind's eye since everything has an acute sharpmess to it, like a strong aura around it. I move towards the right, and begin to follow the river down stream, leaving kayla behind as she sleeps under a great oak tree near the river, larger than any tree in the forest.
I look down at myself to see tattoos on my body. On my left forarm is the godsmack sun symbol with a silver crescent moon covering the left half of it, and encircled by music notes. On my right shoulder is a raven with wings in flight holding a note in its beak. Although I can't see it, I know that I have a complete back tattoo on my back. It is the tree of life streching from my waist line up to my neck with two wolves at the base of the tree. The two wolves are brown, and one is male, and one is female. they repersent Kayla, and i. On the tree the branches are divided into four parts, and half of the tree is alive, while the other half is dead. On one corner the tree is on fire, another rain is dripping off it, one the leaves are blowing in the wind, and the other bares apples. On the top of the tree is the same sun, and moon that covers my left arm.
As I follow the path down the river, I noticed that I am being followed by a great brown wolf. I stare into his eyes, and see my own. Antoher wolf appears from around the tree, and I know that it is Kayla's eyes I stare into. The two wolves follow me.
Halfway down the river I stop at a huge group of rocks that almost divide the river in half. In the center of the river is a boulder that is large enough for a pinic for seven people to sit on. By the boulder in the water is a deer, and without thinking about it I head out into the boulder, and drag the deer up to it. The deer is dying, and gazes up at me for mercy. I kill the animal and begin to eat after realizing that I am hungry. The two wolves eat with me. Now full of meet, I take the antlers as a trophey, and pray for thanks of the meat before going my way. I keep traveling downward, and I come face to face with a black bear. He attacks me, but the two wolves protect me, and bring it down to kill it, but do not eat it. They stand by my side as to protect me.
I finally find myself in a large pool of water that is within a small grove of nine hazel trees. Hazel nuts fall into the water, and are eaten from time to time by salmon. I feel my belly growl again, and I wade into the cool water, but stop for a moment. I allow the antlers I had taken to fall into the water, it felt right to do so. I wait, and suddenly grab a salmon in my hands. it is a bright color, and I eat it. I feel inspired Suddenly I hear a light giggling, and I turn and realize that the wolves are gone, but Kayla is there with me nude as I am. I hold onto her, and kiss her, some of the salmon's blood still on my lips. She frowns, but a inner light is in her eyes as if she too is inspired.
If anyone has any answers to what this might mean I would be gratful to know.
With Love and Hope Roibeard
You laugh at me because you fear what I am. You see that I am a link between the old and new, carrying the spirit of inspiration with me. That's okay though because I don't resent you. I wil always embrace you as family no matter what scorn I might recieve for I am the Bard.

What a trippy dream, like the kind when I ate some old pizza before falling asleep...Here is a dream for you, yet another in a series of "Nightmares" about my Ex-Husband, John. A short history/profile of my Ex, he is almost 7 feet tall, long red hair, could be a body double for WWE Wrestler, "The Undertaker" and he was abusive to my Daughters and I, tried to poison me with window washer fluid in my blue berry gatorade bottle. Anyhell, in all my dreams, John is usually covered in blood and chasing me!!! But recent one was different in a way...Back in September, my first week of being homeless, I was super sleep deprived and finally crashed hard! In this dream, I was on top of this amusement park log ride track, it was pitch black out and my Ex was across from me on the other side of the tracks, covered in blood as usuall, here is where it gets freaky...this guy who I don't recognize comes down this conveyor belt on the tracks, restrained by his ankles and suddenly all of his skin is gone and he is veins and muscles and screaming for me to help! My Ex is just laughing and then the dream stops! I keep having the same dream over and over! Being Homeless, it isn't like I can go see a therapist regularly and I wonder if this new Med for my Bi-Polar Mania is causing this dream to repeat in my head?!?! Crazy!!!
Hey Robert, I haven't been on here for a while but just read your dream. Here's how it seems to me:
You have a Celtic background, if I remember rightly, so I will provide you with Celtic interpretations (also because I've researched alot of Celtic magick myself).
I'll start with the trees. You said that there was a Hazel, Blackthorn and Oak tree in your dream. The Celtic word for Hazel tree is "Coll" (pronounced "Cull") which means "life force within you". It's also one of the nine traditional firewoods used in Druid ceremonies at Beltane and is known as the Tree of Wisdom.
The Oak is considered sacred in most cultures because of its long life, size and the acorns it bears. Yule logs were originally made of Oak from which all other fires would be lit. It's a symbol of life. You said that the oak was largest, this suggests that as you and Kayla were alseep below it, you will have a long and great life together.
The size of the Oak hopefully compensates for the presence of the Blackthorn tree as it is a sign of ill omen in Celtic myth. The Ogham word for Blackthorn, "straif" is said to be the word from which "strife" is derived. Blackthorn is also known as the increaser and keeper of dark secrets. This may suggest that also you may have a long life with Kayla, it may be infused with bad occurances which you must overcome.
Now, on to the animals in your dream. You already know that the wolf is your totem animal, it makes sense that Kayla, being your soulmate, would have a similar one. Celtic legend states that the wolf is cunning, it can help you read the signs of nature (which is seen in your dream by the wolf guiding you). The wolf knows how to bypass danger, outwit those who want to harm you and fight when needed (like with the bear in you dream).
The deer, in Celtic myth, is also seen as a guide, representing grace, swiftness and gentleness to reach goals without the use of force. As you ate the deer in you dream, it may be fair to say that you are (or should be) taking these qualities into yourself as well as those qualites of the wolf to create a balance.
This concept of balance links into what I'm about to say about the bear. Celtic belief of the bear is that is provids balance and harmony in your life and gives you the strength to do what is necessary. The bear also represents strength and stamina. I believe that in your dream, the bear is testing to see if you possess these qualitites. In defeating him, I believe it means you do.
And finally, the salmon. In Celtic myth there is a salmon that is said to swim in the Well of Segais which possesses great knowledge. This salmon is said to eat hazelnuts which fell into the well which contain mystical qualities. The Salmon of Knowlegde is said to be as old as time itself and knows everything of the past and of the future. It is said that eating salmon allows you to gain its knowlegde and can connect you to ancestral knowlegde put it to practical use. This explains why you felt inspired after eating the salmon in your dream.
I hope this has been useful and I wish you and Kayla the very best .

Thank you for the help. With you, and Joe's interpitations of this dream I believe I have better understanding. And for anyone reading who wants to help me out if you have the time, and the energy, here is another dream.
I wake up, and I notice that Kayla is nowhere to be seen. I feel her presence as if she is by my side, but I do not see her. The only thing I wear is the heart shapped locket she gave me around my neck that has her picture in it, and celtic on the front ofor hope. I know she has a simular locket I gave her that has love written on it. I look about me, and I notice a few things.
Dawn is closer than ever, but a little bit of twilight still remains. I am resting under the old blackthorn that is the head of a large open grove with a small creek running through it. Kayla and I were resting to the north of the stream which flows north east to south west. This grove is filled with thirteen trees: nine hazels, three oaks, and one blackthorn. I smile at the blackthorn because it does notscare me, but instead soothe me. I wave at a small raven that perches on the blackthorn. It is a white raven with deep silver eyes. I turn to leave, but notice a small wind insterment on the ground. It is made of a mixture of hazel, and blackthorn wood. I pick it up, and play on it three times, sending out three soft, but powerful notes on it. Smiling I head west out of the grove.
Through the thick woods I do not feel alone. That raven follows me, and I feel Kayla's and my own spirit animal forms are following me. I come to a large ash tree, which holds hazel nuts fashioned to a string. I know for some reason that it is from Kayla. I put it around my neck, and head on my way.
After a while I come to a bonfire that blocks my way. The smoke doesn't harm my nose, and I'm afraid to pass through it, but I suck in breath, and pass through it quickly, and realize that the fire doesn't hurt me. The flames do not even burn my skin. I smile at the notion, and head along the only path I know. For some reason I know it is the path that leads to the river that forks into three paths. One large one in the center, and two smaller streams, one to the left, and one to the right. I stop at the river, and notice the trees. Blackthorn to the lef, hazel in the center, and oak to the right. The hazel is the largest of the trees, and a blue cloak is pinned on the branch with a wodden spear with a stone blade, and a helmet with antlars on it. I play the flute thing again three times as thanks, and put on the items I find. I feel like the spear, and helemt come from Lugh, my patron God. I feel safe, and calm, and an strange strength come over me as if I could do anything.
I see Kayla on the otherside of the river heading towards the left stream with her back to me. Something tells me I need to follow so I head down that path. I get to the entrannce of the stream, and find myself against three warriors. My mind tells me to fight with the spear, but my heart tells me to use the musical insterment so I play it, and they drop their weapons in fear, and in awe. I head past them, and down the stream.
I come to the huge bolder where I once killed and ate a deer, and I see the deer struggling, but something tells me to leave it so I pass it without doing anything except watch the spirit animals eat it.
I come to a huge clearing where I see men keeping Kayla from going on the path before me, and I think back to the spear, but still I do not use it. Instead I use the music, and with playing it, and than singing I watch as the people blocking Kayla let go, and run away. Kayla turns to me, and smiles lovingly at me. I gaze at her beauty. In her hand is a book with the pages made of bark, the ink made of animal blood, and the binding, and cover in leather. She heads off before I can catch up with her. I frown in frustration, but keep going onto my path.
After awhile I see Kayla standing in the circle of nine hazel trees reading out load to a maiden who is nude as we are with black hair, and dark eyes, and a man with long hair, and antlars on his head. These two are holding hands, and looking at her lovingly. At the side I see what appears to be the angel Michael as if Kayla's faith is lending an ear to us as well. I walk forward, but I'm stopped by two dragons. One is green, and has wings, and feet, while the other is red, and has no limbs or wings. They strike at me, and I play the imsterment, and they draw back. Instead of running away though they go after Kayla, and I jump between them, and her, and raise to my full height, and puff out my chest to protect her. I begin to sing with all my heart and soul, and they run off in fear. I turn to the maiden, and horned man as well as the angel. They are weeping, and the three come to us, and place our hands so our fingers are intwined. then they hand us a bag full of gold coins, and take my cloak whihc is now full of holes, and replace it with a bright blue cloak that is made of an unbreakable materal. they than put a silver, and blue cloak around kayla's form. They all leave, leaving us alone. I turn to Kayla, and hold her tight. I kiss her gently with all my love, and breaking the kiss I see that the circle of trees are gone, and instead is one huge tree, both dead, and alive. Both male and female. I hear crynig, and see a baby girl, and boy at the foot of the tree. We pick them up. I hold the boy, and kayla holds the girl, and we kiss again. At this point I wake up.
You laugh at me because you fear what I am. You see that I am a link between the old and new, carrying the spirit of inspiration with me. That's okay though because I don't resent you. I wil always embrace you as family no matter what scorn I might recieve for I am the Bard.

did you do anything by a chance that you may or may not realize would do harm, and harm was done? maybe kayla will stay on ur side even if u were in the wrong( nude meanin to reveal, trees on fire meaning damage done). she or the two who help u( however this relates) are to make a decision. kill the bear and keep going not adding up to the fault, or realizing the deer and be thankful and take advantage of the time to set things right. the nuts falling to fish seem to symbolize a need for some people ( the fish) to find out what happened. tell the truth and set things right, kayla will not like that you were wrong but she will forgive you, then learn to not make that mistake.
this is more of a native american based interpretation, i really hope this helps u!
may all go well!
Life, love, liberty, freedom, justice and equality for all......
.........for all regardless of any other reason.
