My 9 day old baby daughter was evidently born with her internal organs all mixed around . It is something to be thankful for that she has lived this long. She is without a lung on her left side. This all was undetectable at either of her pediatrician visits. They listen for breathing, they hear breathing, the baby is ok.The hard part is finding optimism, its there, you just have to look for it. The last Dr who spoke with us told us she would be alright, however, she does need surgery.
Please keep us in your prayers and positive thoughts

JUST IN.. JUST RECEIVED MORE INFORMATION FROM KEVIN.
HIS BABY GIRL SILANEY WILL BE GOING INTO SURGERY AT 9:00am TOMORROW MORNING(SATURDAY)! THE SURGERY WILL LAST A FEW HOURS.
ALSO, HER CONDITION IS CALLED Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. SHE DOES HAVE BOTH LUNGS, BUT DUE TO THE OTHER ORGANS SUPRESSING IT, IT WAS NOT FUNCTIONING OR EASILY VISIBLE. AFTER THE SURGERY THEY ARE HOPING IT WILL FILL UP AND BE FUNCTIONAL.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO KEEP SILANEY IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!
