every faith or belief structure has to have some kind of organization. it just isn't possible to have a religion without organization. even the native american belief system has organization that has been in place long before we ever stepped foot on this country. my beliefs are not organized though as i feel a connection with several systems such as; native american, wicca and pagan. i'm not even sure it can be defined or fit in a pretty little box. did i answer your question or was it rhetorical?

You answered my question Kat. I was going to say in my first post it seems every religion out there is orginized. OH well I guess I'll just "make peace" one day on my own, in my own way. I just have such a problem with "rules" or a belief structure.

Perhaps you should look at the Eastern Spirituality Systems.
Most of us have just about had it with the orthodox systems, dogmas, doctrines and creeds. Most of the Eastern systems are psychologically oriented, relying on practical methods of working with consciousness rather than the traditional rituals of worship of an authoritative but invisible deity. God is to be found in our consciousness.

T, I do know how you feel-- I too just got really tired of ALL organized religions-- especially the Pagan ones! And yes, I claim Paganism as part of my spiritual foundation---- but I go beyond that and have incorporated many of the Native and Eastern philosophies as well.

Yeah. Mine. My "religion" has only one member- ME. It can only be described as "the things I believe in", and doesn't have a name because it doesn't need one. If I decide any rules or rituals its my decision alone and applies only to me. Which is the way I believe one's relationship with the universe should be- individual. PS there's nothing wrong with groups of people sharing similar beliefs or working towards similar good-of-mankind goals. The problem I continue to have are those who keep insisting its their way or the highway in regard to beliefs. So thats why I also rejected the "highway" and made it "myway".

I'm with Venus October...I do what feels right to me. I was brought up in organized religon, and it never felt right. I was never at peace, I had to find my own path (at 30 so it's been a great 7 years so far ), which you will discover yours when you're suppose to (my opinion) and when you do you'll know. I don't have any fear of death or burning in someones hell anymore. It's really a wonderfully free feeling, no guilt, no judgemnet from others who claim they're not judgemental?? Hey venus I can identify with your My Way of intellect. It seems that I can relate to that completely because Catholic schools and even the Vatican hold some very discriminating values when deciding to "organize a conspiracy to discredit" certain individuals and in this I am referring to "myself, or myway"

So should I go into detail and make a fool of myself, or should I continue in this subject? Would I offend anyone on the board should I do it? Or, perhaps someday it would all make sense. Organization? I guess for what purpose would it serve the unseen?

Everyone pretty much feels the same way I do. Make your own way and your own peace. I of course haven't read up on all religions and I know there's religions out there I've never even heard of so I was seeing what the feed back would be on that. As many of you have, I have read about a few religions and there are parts I agree with and parts I don't. So it's a take this, leave that. Thanks for replies.
