I'm starting an indie showcase-type thing on my internet radio show and am in need of bands! Our station has a pretty large listener base who listens to a wide variety of music. If you are interested in having your music played on my show please send an email to me at BamTheDJ at gmail. In the email, please include:
One or Two mp3s to play. I ask that the file names be in the following format: Artist - Song Of Awesome.mp3 I also ask that the mp3s be properly IDv3 tagged and be of recording quality no less than 128kbps.
A bit of information about the band (namely where you're from, if you tour outside of your local area, how long you've been together)
A note specifically giving me, Bambi Barnett, permission to play your music on Radio KoL. (This is needed for my personal files.)
We are not a commercial station. We do not sell advertisement space. No one at our station gets paid We are not in a position to pay royalties. This is strictly to give bands a little more exposure. My listener base ranges from ages 10-40 and is located literally all over the world. I have listeners in Australia, Croatia, Japan, UK, The Netherlands and I think even a couple of guys in Iraq. So don't think your band is outside of my range.

it would be perfictly awsome to have my new band the NiTe MaRiN get a little exposure on your radio show. I'll send the first mp3 to you when it gets back to me.
what i mean is, the members of my band are all over the world. not one of us lifes in the same place. i have a friend in australia who does the mixing, one in canada who plays bass, i do the singing {mostly} and my friend in washington plays a synthisizer. so i have to record my voice, then pass it on to them and see if they like it...then it comes back to me with music if they do...cool huh?

I'm right here Deb, thanks for thinking of me! I'm currently working on something new, this one might be good enough to release on the radio station. I just may do it.
Bam....is there a deadline for this or just anytime you wanna do this as long as the station is still available of course.
Brit, I believe Zera is doing like an online only band. One person does this the others do that they send in their music to each other to be worked around with and put together to form a song. I want to do something like that for fun, if anyone is interested let me know, I don't care what skill level you are or what you may play but let's do it!

Hey ... I don't have a band, but I write lyrics ... as a matter of fact you can see some of them at http://www.writing.com/main/view_item/user_id/aznarv I think at least some of them are really good. The downside is that I don't play, so now I'm looking for a band to play my lyrics. So ... what I wanted to ask you is, if by any chance you now or get to know a band that searches for lyrics, that would be interested in playing this kind of lyrics, could you point them in my direction? Many thanks.
