I know that some of you may have been confused by the transition - most of you because the e-mail address you registered with on the old forums is no longer active (or you don't remember which one you used.)
Here are a list of things you can try before e-mailing me for help:
Try the forgotten password request
If, when you enter your e-mail address into the forgotten password form, you get an error saying that the e-mail address doesn't exist, then the e-mail address you *thought* you registered with is not the one you *actually* registered with. Trust me on this. It's not. No, really. I promise. It's not.
If you have no idea what e-mail address you registered with, e-mail me at snipe@godsmack.com and I will tell you. If you still have access to that e-mail account but haven't checked it recently, chances are that your login information is already waiting for you.
If we have BOTH confirmed that the e-mail address is correct and you are still not getting the login information reminder...
1. Be patient - it can take a few minutes to get through 2. Check your SPAM folders to make sure it didn't get junked by accident 3. If you're on a work network and do not have control over your SPAM filters, there may be a problem - if that's the case, we need to change your e-mail address to a non-work address so you can get your login information
If we are SURE that your old account has an e-mail address associated with it that you can no longer access:
1. Go to The Groupee Community homepage and sign up for an account. You do NOT need to associate it to the Godsmack forums - just create the account with a valid e-mail address. 2. E-mail me the info listed below, and I will switch your account e-mail address on the old account to the newly registered e-mail address
When you e-mail me for help, I NEED the following:
1. Your current e-mail address 2. Your new Groupee name 3. Your OLD Godsmack forums name 4. Possible e-mail addresses you may have registered with 5. Confirmation from you that you already tried the lost password feature, and a report of what happened when you tried that.
