Last night at approximately 10:45 PM (Pacific) our colocation provider, Internap, had a power failure within our data center, taking down all of our servers. We immediately dispatched all of our Operations staff to begin restoring service once the power came back up. While service was restored for most sites by midnight, a few customers experienced either a longer outage or impaired service for a longer period overnight.
We have been in contact with Internap for a full explanation of both the outage and a prevention plan for the future (since redundant power is one of the things we pay for). We also are exploring, and will continue to explore, other avenues to provide the best and most trouble-free service that we possibly can.
