The big thing in the news recently is the Obama administrations push to prosecute employee's of the bush administration for doing something that the entire congress (speaking for our people and country) said was acceptable. They did not call it torture 7 years ago, why are they calling it torture now?

How do you define torture? Is water boarding torture?

This is unreal. I'm sorry, but Al-Queda(sp?) and any other known terrorist group members can be tortured to the fullest extent, imo. They have NO RIGHTS. Plus, there were physicians present, and like you said..congress approved, dems and pubs. Unbelievable, this administration has been so far.

I define torture as doing something horriable to someone who does not dersve it meaning, cutting deep wounds and pouring salt into them, water torture where water just drops on your head and slowly creates a whole in the flesh where it has been dripping for months and months you know stuff like that. But when it comes to the whole terroism thing, well honestly what they did to them was not torture. So i feel that we have bigger things to worry about. But that is just me.

I think we're all just ****ed right now. We can't get anyone to do anything.

They just all want the job. Obama, while loads better than McCain (aside for military plans, I'll give McCain credit there), has done quite a bit of good, more than Bush ever did. However he's now getting caught in the politics he wished to ignore.

So we're all ****ed

Like Aishafox said, I would thing there are bigger "fish to fry" in this country right now than wasting time and money looking into how we interrogated known terrorists.

What has good Obama done? Don't respond here but please do make a new thread in this forum entitles What Obama Has Done. Seriously. I would really like a comprehensive list of what you think Obama has done correct, in the interest of the republic and the people, and for the good of our children.

Because personally, all I think Obama has done is **** is in the ass. Now he is looking to **** more people.

I agree, this is just nitpicking. If we were running acid down their throats or placing them in hanging cages over fire then I would say that this is ****ed up, but seriously they way they are trying to define torture here is stupid. The police in some cities "torture" people worse than this.

I don't even understand what the heck the administration thinks they are doing here.... Why they are dredging this up now... Clearly going after one of our own security agencies like this is not only is an insult to the ones who protect us, but also a threat to our national security.

It really seems as though Obama has someone helping to pull his strings; although I am clueless as to what the heck their motives are here. Most concerning to me is how all of these things are going to add up and continue to make us vunerable.

WTF?? are they thinking?

They keep talking about all of this Government transparency, do they not understand how many attacks were directly against Americans worldwide while Clinton was in office?

I'll tell you what torture is, no nevermind...Its a mute point.

This is what I mean. Our tactics should be kept secret. What is this accomplishing? Our news now interviewing foreign leaders about their feelings? Have we not been safer after 9/11? WTF?? UGHHHH.

I think they are bringing this sh*t up to get peoples focus off the national debt thing and how nothing is getting better for people but worse and how the president, is failing greatly. So why not bring something up that will get the people thinking that he is doing something besides just going around the world like a rockstar.
