Fight prompts lockdown at Fort Lauderdale H.S

Fort Lauderdale - Fort Lauderdale High School was placed on lockdown late this morning and will remain on lockdown until today's dismissal, officials said.

According to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, the lockdown was ordered by the school's principal after two students got into a fight. Police were not called, no arrests were made, and no emergency workers were required to respond to the scene, said police spokesman Sgt. Frank Sousa.

Fort Lauderdale High School is located near Northeast 16th Street and 4th Avenue.

um that sounds stupid. 2 students duke it out with each other.....so they lock the school down?! WTF is that?!

Well, it started at 7:30 when a gang came in and beat the sh*t out of students with metal bats... Then this fight broke out and a security guard was knocked out.

Lying. Twelve students got arrested, the area was on high alert... The newspaper lies because we're a nationally ranked school. I think we're top ten... I dunno...
