I wouldn't call him Great just yet, a bit premature. But congrats to all the Obama voters. I shall consider this day a day of mourning for myself, as America as I know and love it is gone (or gonna be).

As Sean Hannity says on his radio show, "Let not your heart be troubled."

We are AMERICA. We will be okay...things may happen that we will disagree with, but it'll all be okay...

Exactly what I was worried about is all coming to. My kids come home from school today and with horror stories.

Ash was pushed down a flight of stairs by a group of blacks and they yelled to her "we run you now whitey" they were also wearing white t shirts with sharpie writing saying Obama on the front and on the back it says "we finally have a black president"
A black teacher saw this and turned her head.

In class she was told by some boys that "we're running you whitey's for 4 years"

A white boy was held up in the locker room for voting for McCain.

A white person can not say anything positive about McCain or Palin or Bush.

Yes we are all doomed. It is out of control already.

I will pray for Obama's safety. He has a gorgeous family and I don't want anything bad to happen to him. All we heard for months is he will be assassinated.

As for these schools. I will be getting parents together. My daughters black friends were scared today because she said it's ignorant black people who are making them all look bad. She asked my daughter to trust she would never turn on her no matter what happens.

All I know is NO ONE will mess with our children.

Good lord, that is awful. I'll pray for the safety of your kids. I'm afraid this election might set us back, instead of push us forward. Time will tell.

Wow Ang, I'm very sorry that things have turned out this way.

I have said before that if Obama wins racism is coming back even harder. It's a terrible thought I know, but I knew it was gonna begin somehow especially with the way the world is these days.

I'll be keeping you're kids in my thoughts, including every other smack family out there.

oh no ang!!! i'm so sorry to hear the kids have had such a hard time!! shame on that teacher for turning her head from the situation. i bet she was secretly enjoying it. i KNOW you don't raise your kids to be racist so that really pisses me off for them to be treated with reverse racism.

Actually, I think when we're talking about kids getting THREATENED simply because of their color, it IS time to be frightened.

Of course, you know I've got a story...I once got roughed up by a gang of black girls. I won't go into the whole thing ( Applause ) - but I was bloodied, bruised, clothes ripped, glasses busted - not only didn't the "adult-in-charge" not do anything, but the gang (5 girls) who beat me up claimed I beat THEM up! And I got kicked out of this "teen club" because of it.

Ang, how old is Ash? Old enough for a cell phone? That might be an idea - if she and her friends get cell phones --- with cameras. Video/take pix of the attacks (because you're gonna need proof of it). Demand the schools put in security cameras, to have visibility of all hallways.

It's sad...when I was growing up, well- Ft Montgomery didn't have a black family in it (there are a few now - I've met them at the post office). Highland Falls, though, did have a sizeable population. Most were good kids...but a few - caused real problems (policeman's daughter was beaten into a coma; the policeman tried to arrest those who did it, as they were out BRAGGING about doing it - he ended up losing his job for harrassing citizens and 'abusing power'). I didn't actually KNOW a black kid until 7th grade, when two boys entered my class - Mike Biggs and Larry Williams. Very nice boys...and y'know, I never sat back and thought of them as my "black" friends - they were just my friends (tiny Catholic school - I was in a class of under 15 students --- EVERYBODY was my friend! Wink ) High school - again, I didn't notice "color" - if you were nice to me, I was nice to you. Period. Never thought of Yvette and Yolanda as "the black twins" - they were the "Mims" twins. One of my best buddies was a guy named Aaron. Poor guy was always ending up in trouble for getting into fights - sad thing was, he was always standing up for "the little guy" - he'd see someone getting picked on by a bully, so he'd step in to "even things up". Then he'd get in trouble. (Are you sitting? He is now a MINISTER! Reverend Aaron...I still chuckle saying that! Talk about "God" working in mysterious ways!) There are some benefits to small-town life...

Except for the Tawana Brawley case, I have never noticed "color" as much as during this campaign cycle.

I'm sorry that is going on there. I hope its not going on everywhere but I'm afraid to know.

In the beginning when Obama became a contender in the race, I was thinking that with his personality he could really bring people together. Then when more things started coming out, I began to question it.

My hope is that Obama will be a leader and speak out if things begin to get out of control. I pray this is an isolated incident and does not continue. I hope that the school will start addressing this immediately so it is not tolerated.

Ash is 15 and she has a pic/video phone. She and a few friends are getting together and going to the principal and if nothing is done we are all going to the school board. One of Ash's friends is a senior and she is black and she is so sorry this is happening. She is going to defend Ash to the end with this.

Ang, I am so sorry to hear about what your girl and other kids went through. Best of luck to them and all parents involved with resolving the situation. And I hope the darn teacher will get hers too.

This election sure gave a boost to reverse racism, and there was more than enough of it before.
