Ok , head clearing up now !!
I did the ILAA preshow party meet and greet, very cool. They brought us into the venue before the gates opened , and we setup shop at one of the venue bars. Thomas our ILAA host was very cool, alot of personality and funny. After 15 minutes or so , the band came walking out. Was very cool to see them come out. They walked down the line of people , signing one one or two things. I had them sign my laminate and also Sullys book. Sullys book came with the swag they gave us. Chatted with Shannon a bit, very nice guy as it seems the rest of the band is too. After that ILAA took a picture of each one of us with the band. Band left after that. They also raffled off shirts and pretty much gave everyone guitar picks.
The show was amazing. The song before they come on is AC/DC For those about to rock, when the cannons go off the lights were synced with that, very cool, how can you not love a band whose lead in song is AC/DC. The show itself was amazing, these guys are so good live. Sully was so mellow at the preshow party, but he is an animal on stage, he really knows how to work it and is a commanding presence.
Sully also said that new record should be out beginning of the year, I would imagine they would be headlining a tour next year.
The Crue sucked last night. Sound was terrible on 3 or 4 of their songs and too many of the Dr Feelgood songs are filler. Godsmack is in their hometown tonight, I feel bad for the Crue having to come out after them tonight
