I'm going to go to Godsmack's first show in the U.S. in Dallas, TX. I want to get pit tickets, but I'm only 5' "10, and I would hate to get stuck behind some tall people, or actually get stuck in a mosh (It's just not my thing). I wandering if I got to the show really early, would I be able to get right up front, or am I just screwed. I also want to know if there are sections in the pit area.
If I can't get a good view of the band in the pit, I might as well just get the best seats I can. Thanks for any help.
If moshing not your thing its probably best to get seats. I was in the most pit tonight it was ****ing nuts but so fun, this was in Winnipeg so its probably more crazy in Dallas. If you got thier early you'll probally get front row but still there is alot of pushing and shoving SO your best bet is to stick with seats. Have fun! I already miss the concert :P

I wasn't sure what to do buy either yesterday when tickets went on sale for Camden, NJ so I bought Pit AND seats. Guess I'll sell whichever tickes I decide not to use.

get floor tickets, you'll probably regret getting seats to a Godsmack show. Just get near the front, perhaps against the rail and you'll be fine, enjoy the awesome view!
I've been on the floor for the shows I've seen. I'm 5'9" and can see decently if I'm in the right place. You're better off up front on the rail or to the sides. Most of the craziness is in the middle.

You guys are talkign about general tickets right? When you buy with ticketmaster you can buy either seat or pit tickets? Is that right? Someone said show up early and you get your pick? I'm confused : )
i think at the dallas show the seats are up front and the pit is on the lawn. am i correct or just a dumbass? i bought the vip tics so i am guaranteed to be within the 1st 20 rows. i tried getting pit tics a bit ago and could not get any.

I thought about not getting pit tickets for me and my kid until we went to Ozzfest last month and were in the pit. He did fine and me at 5'3" did great too. We just stayed to the left of the "real" mosh pit and we made it to the first row against the cage for Ozzy's last 6 songs. Talk about shock and awe for a 14yr old's first concert

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor. http://decrystallizingreason.blogspot.com
