Anyone here care to comment on this review? I *have* to believe that this reviewer is just an idiot!! I hope someone who was there will email him and set him straight!
Godsmack fared less well than did the Crue. Why? Well, the only energy the band seemed to bring was negative. Singer Sully Erna appeared to be in a foul mood for much of the evening, and following what appeared to be time-killing bits — a lengthy drum and percussion duet, which was actually kinda cool, followed by a brief bit of AC/DC’s “Back In Black” — Erna harangued the crowd with an obscenity-laden litany which, I believe, revolved around the fact that they weren’t making enough noise, and were repeatedly failing to catch the cups of beer he spent roughly 10 minutes of the set throwing at them.
Bogus, dude.
The Crue delivered the goods, though. Maybe next year, they should leave the rest behind. I’m just sayin’. -----------------------------------------
Have to say, I thought they rocked! Yes, he was giving the crowd grief for not catching the cups, but I took that as all in fun, not Sully being angry. And I believe he always tries to get the crowd to be louder. At least he has in 7 of the 8 shows I've attended, and the one show he didn't was the acoustic show.
Personally, I enjoy the drum solo every time I see it, it just keeps getting better. It's one of the great things about this band. How many other bands can do this?
Come on, were there other smackers at this event? I want to see what everyone else thought!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but in my opinion the reviewer is a jackass. I saw this review yesterday before I read this post. The reviewer said the following :
<<By the time the band took the stage, following some five hours of mostly bad metal, hearing the sort of pop-friendly hooks bassist and primary songwriter Sixx is known for felt like a blessing.>>
What the heck is he talking about ? 5 hours of bad metal ?
By almost all accounts, Godsmack kicked ass at every show, arguably the best band on the tour.
Consider you a figment of my imagination, But will you ever go away?

No, they're an idiot because, in my opinion, they seem clearly biased against Godsmack and the other bands and have written a commentary in the form of a 'review'. If they don't like Godsmack, just say it, no biggie.
Weird. I took my friend who never has seen Godsmack, and he said the same thing. About how Sully was talking ****. Like I said, my friend who has never seen Godsmack...
But the dude forgot to mention how Vince was talking mad **** to the guy in the front who KINDLY tossed a water bottle towards his way. He repedeadly was saying to the guy who threw it "get the **** outta here". That wasn't so nice...
Also, The ILAA was the worst I ever experienced. For MANY reasons. But I won't get into it...
Amazing show.
Also, I did not see any WERD WEAR for sale?!?! WTF ! I must have been to drunk!
hey now
