Indian Summer
Blisters boil under feet
Skin fries like rare meat
Daisys of Sunset Cliffs lone sentenils pedals missed
Scorched beach a treat
Race across lava
To jump in ocean water
Prepare feet for boards flight
El Nino doesn't really matter
The masses gather upon sand
It's obvious chores are on hold in our land
Americas Inc. are a disaster
They try to master free spirits like a dam
The blazing sun sets securing everyone
This day is not done until all visit oceans waterfall
Later that night we dance with female savages by the campfire of delight
Play guitar and we will be singing till dawn
This Indian summer day so long
Summers here then it's gone
Its hit the trail, but not for long
It comes and goes at its own whim
You think fall has arrived but no its him
The heat is a brave, a wandering spirit
When the breeze is still you feel it, hear it
Dash into tepees, and make love to your squaw
Tomorrow maybe hotter and she wont want it
This ancient coast
Land of Diego people
I see my tribe still
On the fishing pier, in the clubs
The surf shops, the cheap holes
We drown ourselves in
This pacific Indian Summer
Oh the summer in O.B.
Summers here so are the freaks
All here to baste on the beach
O.B. our little ghetto by the sea
During the summer someone is always higher than me
I don't mind this at all
As long as everybody is having a ball
Oh the summer in OB when the summer drifts away
You will want to stay for another summer in O.B.
Oh B where the debris meets the sea
And the average tattoo is thirty three
Oh B our ghetto by the sea
Where there is somebody higher than me
This Indian Summer not just a dreamy fantasy
Speak truth to power!
