This happy facade hides my true self
A creature tormented by anguish
Living life bound by chains
Forever forced to play this part
In the grand opera
Of life

I sing my joyful song
While the pain screams inside
"Cuándo terminará esto?!?!?"
I dance my graceful dance
As if nothing were wrong
All the while, my soul clawing my insdes

I remove my jovial mask
In the middle of my greatest scene
For a moment of inner peace

People all around scream
As they see the escaping demons

Tears flood from my eyes
And drown my world in sorrow
I scream out to the crowd

My voice fades in the darkness

I put my mask back on
To continue with my part
Dancing to and fro
As if nothing were wrong
A happy player in the grand opera of life
All the while, still screaming on the inside
