I stumbled across this Youtube video of Godsmack playing some unreleased song called "Homeward". Good song, but where did it come from?

"Homeward" is actually a very old song from Godsmack. If you've read Sully's book "The Path We Choose" Sully talks about writing the song when he first started Godsmack. They just never released it as a single, but have performed it at some acoustic shows in 2004 I believe.

Looks like I am going to have to hit the library to see if I can check this song out.

I was in CD Warehouse today and had to check out two or three Meliah Rage CD's to see if Sully was in the band then..But, they weren't. I have one, didn't know if there were more!

I just stumbled upon that YouTube video as well. I've only been a fan for a few years, but I've read Sully's book literally almost 20 times. I vaguely remember the part where he mentioned writing that song, but I guess that detail slipped my mind. However I think it's a really great song and would've been great on The Other Side.

The song "Homeward" is very interesting. So interesting in fact I had to come and ask if anyone has the lyrics to the song. If you have them could you please post them up so I have a better understanding of what the song is about. It's such a beautiful song. Thank-you. Musical Note
