Does anyone remember this show? It was back in the 80's. Well the remake starts tonight at 800p Est on ABC. SyFy has been running the original's reruns too. The episodes back in the 80s were corny, but the premise isn't bad.
You know how it is with SCI FI shows on TV though. If they are even worth watching, they are not on for long.

It was better than I thought it would be. I was surprised at all the political undertones in it. If you agree with the current administration you would not like this show. I think there its only signed for 4 episodes so far. I personally liked it.
The original V had political undertones, as well. It was all about Nazism. All they did with this one was update to more modern concerns so this one is all about terrorism. Hence the "sleeper cells" of aliens that have been here forever.
I was excited to watch it because it's like a Firefly reunion for me (Alan Tudyk and Morena Baccarin) then I was made sad when Alan was killed off right off the bat. We're hoping that they'll bring him back. Like maybe he didn't die and they'll clone him new skin or something. *fingers crossed*
Though, I'm highly pissed at my local ABC affiliate. They don't show V until midnight because the stupid coach for the Titans has his little whinefest every week during the 8e/7c time slot. So on Tuesdays, I have to pretty much unplug from any social media for 5 hours to avoid spoilers.
As for only being signed on for a few episodes... the rumor I heard is that this was planned all along. They were going to do a few eps then go on hiatus for the winter Olympics and then hopefully come back with more eps (depending on ratings, of course).

We watch it, but I'm not really that "into it"; I remember the first one with Robert Enguld (Freddy Kruger) playing the "good" V, but don't recall the story lines too much. The political undertones, if they can even be called undertones, as they are pretty obvious, are craking us up! Todd joked that Obama is going to have it yanked!
