So me and the Man want to experiment/explore wine. He is cool with the flavor of alcohol. Me, not so much. I am not going to lie, I love me some chic drinks. I blame the breasts and vagina. Anyways, I would prefer it to not have a strong alcohol taste.
Any suggestions?

Start out with a sweet dessert wine. Maybe a raspberry wine (that was the first wine I ever tried and liked). There are a ton of other dessert wines out there too.

i don't like wine but i tried one at a friend's house that i really liked. i just can't remember the name of it. i'll let you know when i remember.... my SIL doesn't like it cuz it's too sweet for her but that's exactly why i like it - it doesn't have that strong, bitter taste. i think it starts w/an "m"....
I used to really like a pinot noir (Sebastiani was the vineyard, but there are a lot of others now) because it's got a more fruity taste.
I also used to like merlot quite a bit because it's a heavy red wine and it's supposed to be quite good for your heart. It's got a full-bodied taste. And, I ignore any "room temp" suggestions on wine because I like a drink to be cold.
But, I haven't drank alcohol in years, so I'm no expert.

Just so you know, if you get something that isn't sweet enough, you can add sugar to it to make it sweeter. My hubby got that info from one of his winemaking forums he reads.
And wines don't have to be made with grapes. We make some here with plum (very sweet 18% alcohol), watermelon, apple, blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, etc. I know we also have some pumpkin, and some cran-blackberry. Can't forget the dandelion stuff, or the chocolate meade that is made from honey.
Every year the taste can be different, because the fruit isn't always the same sugar content wise, and sometimes it is higher in acid. It can be adjusted for during the process, but you are still going to have varying tastes.
I like sweeter wines too. There is a local winery that makes Sunset Blush that I love. Also, a NY winery makes one called Sweet Jennie (yummy)...
Don't know if you can order online to be shipped out of PA because our laws concerning alcohol are kinda weird. But, everywhere is going to have something similar.
Another thing to try, go to a wine tasting at any winery near you. Get a feel for what you like.
(stops now before I take up an entire page)...LMAO!

Me pesonally prefer a reisling. There is this German brand that I absolutly love and it hasent let me down yet, but of course, I dont remember the name of it, I just remember the bottle. Ill look at the grocery store when I go this evening and let you know. It isnt too sweet, but has a sweet, crisp taste. I would give it a try. Ill get back to you with the name tomorrow.

Thats a tough one with wine. I don't drink often, but I love it. I would suggest a blush wine. Its sweeter. Red wines are stronger but good also. Muscato is really good too. Arbor Mist wines aren't bad but not your finer stuff though.
Do you have a World Market store near you? They have a pretty good selection of wines from different places.

Would it be Gewürztraminer?
Never tried it, but the hubby likes it. He doesn't like Reisling for the most part, but there is a winery in Colorado (Holy Cross Abbey) that makes one he loves!
