he showed up at my front door crying to come inside. i was afraid he'd get hit on our busy road so i brought him in and called the vets' office to post where he was, placed a found ad in the paper and called animal control in case anyone called for him there. by the 3rd day of his stay w/us, i had had enough and placed that sign out front. lol!! he played outside via the doggy door but used the house as his personal toilet and the babies slipped in piss and picked up poo on a daily basis. he was claimed a week after i brought him in by a very relieved 10 y.o. boy who will probably be more careful from now on.
I'm glad you took him in, I'm also glad that the dog made it to his home. It takes a very kind person to take in an animal like that (even if only for a few days) I love doggies. He was so cute, he actually reminds me a lot of my dog that died a couple years ago.

He is too cute, but thank goodness he went to the right house, many people wouldnt even dream of taking in a stray and tried to find its owner. You are a very sweet person for that. There needs to be more people like you out there.

What a great looking pup ! Kids are pushing me lately to get another one here. I don't think the dog(Dakota) we have now would tolerate another dog though.

He is a cute little rascal! I believe that he knew exactly what he was doing when he came to your house, cuz he knew that you would take care of him and try your damnest to look after him and get him back where he belonged. Your an amazing angel, Kat!!

On the way home from connor's school tonight we saw a sign that read "free kittens" and it took a lot of will power to turn and go pick one out. Connor's been begging for a kitty...not only does he want a pet, he knows he wants a kitty. We don't have space right now, but we're moving soon and maybe *crosses fingers and prays really hard* we'll be able to get a kitty then.

thanks ya'll. he norked my werves but i fell for the little guy. he adored me too. i always worry about my rescues after they're returned home or placed in new homes. i once rescued a boston terrier w/a red coat and had him for less than 2 weeks so when his owner claimed him, i couldn't legally keep him. the next day, he was run over and killed on the same busy intersection where i'd found him. i usually don't place ads until the 2 weeks are up so i have the legal right to keep the rescue if i don't feel it has a good home but i couldn't do that w/this puppy.
